About the Platte Valley Community Center

Our building has been at the center of Saratoga life since 1928, when it opened as the town’s elementary school — classrooms, a gym, and a stage all under one roof. Over the decades it served generations of Valley kids as Platte Valley High School and later, Saratoga Middle School.

By the early 2000s, the community saw a new possibility for the aging building: a modern gathering place that could serve the entire North Platte Valley.

A Joint Powers Board was formed, volunteer committees got to work, and through a combination of local fundraising, grants, and private donations, the school was completely remodeled.

The Platte Valley Community Center opened its doors in 2006.

What PVCC Offers Today

Today, the Platte Valley Community Center is the Valley’s hub for events of every kind. Our 400-seat Fine Arts Theater hosts performances, lectures, and large presentations. The Great Hall accommodates conferences, banquets, and community celebrations. Smaller meeting rooms and flexible gathering spaces support everything from board meetings to classes, youth programs to art exhibits.

Whether you’re planning a multi-day conference, a community fundraiser, or an afternoon workshop, PVCC was built — and rebuilt — to make it possible.
